BECOME A YOUTH AMBASSADOR
Are you interested in exploring different career options? POMO Museum is offering a Youth Ambassador Program where students in high school looking to fulfill their work experience can come and volunteer at a museum!
WHAT IS IT?
Interested in Marketing? Events? Or Research? We have a few options that you can pick up as a personal project and help make an impact in our community. For up to 11 weeks over the weekends (must be available Saturday or Sunday 11 am - 5 pm— with some exceptions e.g., evening events) , have a chance to represent the museum and develop your own sense of leadership, confidence and purpose.
WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN US?
You’re here to help us further reconnect with the community. Our goal is to revitalize the museum into a fun third space. What does that mean? Third spaces are a place where people come together outside of traditional meeting places.
Being a part of POMO Museum’s volunteer network will help you explore different avenues of museums. You’ll be a step-up from our usual volunteers, and you’ll be a part of a thriving group of individuals who wish to make a difference.
LEARNING GOALS YOU WOULD ACHIEVE
Your learning goals for this ambassador program is aligned with the BC graduation policy for “Career Development and Work Experience.” We want to help you succeed going into post-secondary and/or the world.
