Our museum is situated in a 1908 CPR Train Station. Today, we are more than a train station museum, where visitors get to learn about the different social histories related to Port Moody.

Yes! You are welcome to take as many photos as you wish.

We charge $10 a person for a museum tour. If there are available staff, we can offer tours. If there are not enough staff on site to help with a tour, we ask that you book a tour for another day when more staff is available.

Yes, the Venosta can hold up to 34 people. For a minimum of 2 hours (with a program included) at $200 before tax and admin fee, you can rent out the Venosta. The price of rental increases if the birthday party is before 10 am and after 4 pm. Visit our “Rent” navigation for more information.

Yes, without a program a train rental during working hours costs $75/hour before tax and admin fees. A minimum of two hours is required. The price of rental increases if the birthday party is before 10 am and after 4 pm.

We offer a variety of programs for birthdays, education, and more! For birthday programs we offer Box Car Kids, Brick Building, Junior Detectives, and Sea Adventures. Other programs include Museum Tours, Senior Tea and Tour, Industries and Communities, Communications, and a Holiday Program. For more information, check out “Tours & Programs” navigation bar.

You can contact exhibits@pomo.museum for all research inquiries. We offer a free 30-minute research service, and research for more than 30 minutes costs $30 plus tax per hour.

Yes! We are a place of education, and you are welcome to observe items and take notes.
RESEARCH

You can purchase a membership at the museum or buy one online. Memberships begin at $10 for a single, $15 for a family, $75 for corporate, and $500 for lifetime.

You can have access to early bird tickets for our events, participate in the AGM, get free parking at the museum, receive our members-only newsletter, and more!

We are always looking for volunteers, unless noted otherwise. Depending on the volume of volunteers, we will contact you when we can.

We like to see your previous experiences and skills that you have, so that if we pursue your application, we can create projects based on what you can do.
Volunteering

No, we do not accept drop-off donations. All item donations must be approved first by the Collection’s Technician through email (exhibits@pomo.museum) . Send a photo and a description of the item’s condition, size, material (if you know), and where the item is from (i.e., where it was purchased).
